Volunteering is a fantastic way to get involved in your school community. There are a number of opportunities where volunteers are needed at Laidley SHS:
Parents & Citizens' Association(P&C) committee and parent attendees are appreciated to contribute to decision making facets of the school via the P&C. The committee meets in the school Administration building on the first Wednesday of every month. Check our school newsletter for any date changes.
School tuckshop appreciates volunteers to help with the preparation and serving during lunch breaks. Please consider volunteering even one day a month - every little bit helps. The Tuckshop Convenor can be contacted via the school office.
Laidley Show Display helpers are needed in the planning and setting up displays for the Laidley Show. The planning stage commences around Term 2 in the lead up to show. Senior students assist with ticket sales and ushering throughout the showgrounds. Students are also selected to create a bush track at the show for visitors to participate in which is a huge success and enjoyed by the wider community.
Spring Parade Float is planned and executed in Term 3 ready for the Spring Festival which occurs in September. The Student Council coordinates these activities and would appreciate any assistance from our school family in the set up for this annual event.
All volunteer enquiries can be directed to the school office.
