Parent-teacher interviews bring parents and teachers together to foster meaningful discussions about students. While communication between teachers and parents is welcome at any time, these meetings provide an opportunity to discuss an individual student’s progress within particular subject areas. Key topics include academic achievement, attitude to work and to classmates, behaviour in class, the current course of study and upcoming assessment items. All teachers are available to take appointments and are keen to discuss your student’s needs.
Parent-teacher interviews can be booked online through the School Interviews website and are held in The Clarice Ferrari Hall, Laidley State High School, Edward Street, Laidley between 3.10pm and 6.00pm on the designated day chosen.
Interviews are held in Term 2 and Term 3, typically in conjunction with the publication of report cards. The invitation to book comes with a unique code and can be booked through a simple online process. These invitations are sent home with the end of term reports in Term 1 and Term 2. Bookings close a few days before the interviews and can be changed any time during the booking period. If parents/carers cannot access the internet, they can contact the school office for assistance.
