Laidley
State High School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning School (PBL) which is a
School Wide approach endorsed and supported by Education Queensland. The focus
of PBL is to:
-
improve academic outcomes
reduce rates of problem behaviour across
the school
raise the positive public profile of our
school
improve the way problem behaviour is
being managed
increase teaching time through positive reinforcement
in classrooms
create a positive culture across the school
and wider community
The school's 4 Positive Behaviour Principles are well recognised and understood by our students.
RESPECT RESPONSIBILITY LEARNING SAFETY
The current school behaviour policy outlines the standards of behaviour expected of students and the responsibilities of parents, schools, principals and senior Education Queensland staff in promoting positive learning environments.
The Student Code of Conduct outlines the school's behaviour management expectations, processes and student supports.
The ongoing focus on SWPBS has resulted in significantly higher staff, student and parent confidence in our school positive learning environment. A reduction in disciplinary absences has also occurred over recent years.
