Junior curriculum
The Junior secondary curriculum is focused on consolidating and extending student's knowledge and understanding in the key learning areas of Mathematics, English, Science and History through the implementation of the Australian Curriculum. In addition, a strong foundation is developed in various elective subjects in the key learning areas of Health and Physical Education, The Arts, Technology and Languages Other Than English (LOTE). This curriculum prepares students well for Senior academic and vocational studies.
In Junior Secondary we focus on fostering the social, emotional and academic growth of our students. This is underpinned by positive, productive relationships, high expectations, a seamless curriculum and quality teaching that is explicit and engaging. We aim to nurture self-belief, increase opportunities and enhance learning outcomes for our Year 7, 8 and 9 students, instilling in them a love of learning.
